Welcome To Trentham Bowling Club

Trentham Bowling Club was founded in 1957 in the grounds of the former specialist building contractor, G Percy Trentham, from whom we take our name. We were affiliated to RCBBA in 1961.

Situated in Purley on Thames in Berkshire, we pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming Club for lawn bowlers of all abilities. We have two outdoor greens, the smaller of which is used mostly for coaching and training and is excellent for learning and developing lawn bowling skills. The elevated position of our Clubhouse is a perfect location to observe proceedings on the main green whilst enjoying our facilities.

Both Mens and Ladies teams represent Trentham in local Berkshire league teams. We play many friendly matches both at home and away, mostly against local Clubs. In addition, we host both County matches and touring Clubs from around the country.

Our goal is to provide an excellent lawn bowling Club and facility for the benefit and enjoyment of all our members and our guests. We seek to increase and attract new members by promoting the Club as a place where fun, friendship and camaraderie are fostered. We support both new and existing members by providing friendly and constructive coaching and advice; inspiring them to play the game and to compete to the best of their ability and in doing so, enjoy themselves and have a good experience. We are dedicated to help preserve the Club and its environment for the enjoyment of current and future generations.

Partners of our playing members are invited to join Trentham as Associate Members, and together with our bowlers are encouraged to join a program of events, held 12 months a year including our annual tour, winter short mat bowls, race nights, games evenings, curry nights and much more.

As such, I consider it an honour and a privilege to serve as President of Trentham Bowling Club and to support and promote its virtues.

Best Wishes to All
