History of the Club Badge

The Club Badge was originally designed by one of the Trentham company architects. It depicts at the top, four woods and a jack. Below are two half trees, back-to-back,  representing the Berkshire Oak and Willow.  The trees are flanked by King John and the Berkshire stag, as this area formed part of the Royal hunting grounds. The blue at the bottom of the badge depicts the nearby River Thames which inspired author Kenneth Grahame to write his classic ‘The Wind in the Willows’,  which is also depicted on the badge; Grahame died in nearby Pangbourne.  The badge was modernised in 2020, retaining the original theme.
