Application for Membership

If you wish to join Trentham Bowling Club please download the Membership Application Form and return your completed copy to: secretary@trentham-bowls.co.uk

 
  • Applications are invited from all age groups, from 10 years of age onwards, irrespective of previous bowling experience or ability.

  • Prior to acceptance, an application form (link above) should be fully completed and returned to the Club secretary direct or via a committee member.

  • This application form remains on the noticeboard for a minimum of 1 week, for the existing membership to view.

  • Once the application form has been submitted and the appropriate fee received, a temporary membership is authorised, enabling the individual to make use of all facilities.

  • Applications are then considered at next Committee meeting and formal notification of their decision will be made. Should an application be declined, an immediate refund of the appropriate fee will be made.

  • If the application is successful, you will then be introduced to a bowling member, who will give you an overview of the facilities, coaching and games available.

  • The green is our most valuable asset, both in terms of finance, and from the huge amount of work by our Greenkeeping team; because of this, an informal Coaching assessment will be arranged by your nominated member with a Trentham Club instructor before any new member (irrespective of experience) is authorised to play on the main green.

  • Full-member £110 per year (this is reduced to £55 for the first year of Membership for anyone who is completely new to lawn bowling in order to facilitate the purchase of Club clothing/equipment etc.  New members joining who have previous Club membership will not be eligible for this first-year discount).

  • Junior membership is FREE to anyone under the age of 18 and in full time education.

  • Associate Membership is available £20 per year (no bowling participation is allowed but has full use of facilities and Club Social activities).

  • The Club membership year is From April to the following March, all subscriptions must be renewed during April.

  • Our Club subscriptions are kept low with the expectation that all Members will play an active part in some aspect of catering, cleaning, Green, Clubhouse or grounds maintenance, in order to reduce our Club expenditure.
